The Celestial Dragon Who Could Become a Major Threat to Imu in Manga One Piece

RAVE OTONITY – The Celestial Dragons have traditionally represented the highest level of privilege in the world of One Piece. Descended from the founders of the World Government, these nobles enjoy extraordinary protection and authority. However, recent developments have revealed that some members of this group possess abilities that make them genuine threats on the battlefield.

Among the most remarkable figures is Saint Garling Figarland, whose position within the God’s Knights places him far above the typical World Noble. His role as the supreme commander of this elite organization suggests that he possesses combat capabilities far beyond those normally associated with the pampered inhabitants of Mary Geoise.

Garling's importance became even clearer through revelations surrounding the God Valley incident. His connection to the legendary event, combined with his willingness to confront powerful pirates from the past, establishes him as someone who cannot simply be dismissed as another arrogant Celestial Dragon.

Another major figure is Imu, the mysterious sovereign who sits above the Five Elders. Although Imu's exact origins and full abilities remain shrouded in mystery, the character's position at the summit of the World Government makes them arguably the most influential Celestial Dragon in the entire story.

The Five Elders also demonstrate that the World Nobles' power is not merely political. Unlike ordinary Celestial Dragons, the Gorosei have displayed extraordinary supernatural abilities and impressive combat capabilities. Their position beneath Imu gives them enormous influence over the Marines and the wider World Government.

Interestingly, Bonney adds another unexpected dimension to the Celestial Dragon storyline. Her biological connection to the World Nobles, combined with the abilities of the Toshi Toshi no Mi, has made her increasingly important to the final conflict. Her Nika-inspired transformation demonstrates how her Devil Fruit can produce remarkably powerful future possibilities.

Bonney's connection to Nika is particularly significant because the Sun God represents freedom, which stands in direct opposition to the oppressive system maintained by the World Government. If her abilities continue developing, she could potentially become one of the people capable of challenging the very authority represented by Imu.

This creates an intriguing contrast within the story. The Celestial Dragons were established as symbols of absolute privilege, yet characters connected to their bloodline could eventually participate in destroying the system that protects them. Such a development would fit One Piece's recurring themes of inherited power, freedom and rebellion.

However, it is important to distinguish between confirmed information and fan interpretation. The manga has revealed extraordinary abilities among several World Nobles, but predictions about who is ultimately the strongest—or who could defeat Imu—remain subject to future revelations from Eiichiro Oda.

As One Piece approaches its final stages, the Celestial Dragons are becoming increasingly important to the central conflict. Figures such as Garling, the Five Elders and Imu have transformed the World Nobles from background political villains into some of the most formidable forces standing between the Straw Hats and the truth behind the world.

What Is Manga?

Manga is the Japanese term commonly used for comics and graphic storytelling. It covers numerous genres, including action, adventure, fantasy, romance, comedy, horror and science fiction, with stories created for audiences of different ages.

Manga are commonly serialized chapter by chapter in magazines or digital services before being collected into volumes. Popular titles can later receive adaptations as anime, films, video games and other forms of media.

One Piece, created by Eiichiro Oda, is one of the most successful manga franchises in history. Its story follows Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates as they journey across the seas in pursuit of the legendary One Piece treasure. The growing importance of the Celestial Dragons and Imu is now placing their conflict at the center of the manga's approaching final saga.
