Final Season Is Coming! Oshi no Ko S4 Heads Toward With a New Teaser

--

RAVE OTONITY – The story of Oshi no Ko is approaching its final animated chapter. Following the conclusion of Season 3, the production team officially confirmed that Season 4 will serve as the Final Season, accompanied by a new promotional video and visual that immediately sparked excitement among fans.

The announcement arrived on March 25, 2026, shortly after the third season reached its finale in Japan. Although the teaser offers a glimpse of what is ahead, the production committee has not yet revealed an exact premiere date for the final installment.

Season 4 is expected to bring the anime closer to the conclusion established by the original manga. Created by Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari, the manga ran in Weekly Young Jump from April 2020 until November 2024 and was collected into 16 volumes.

The upcoming season will continue following Aqua and Ruby Hoshino as their lives in the entertainment industry become increasingly complicated. What began as a story about an idol and her children gradually developed into a darker narrative involving ambition, fame, deception and the consequences of events surrounding Ai Hoshino.

The teaser is particularly meaningful because it signals that the anime is entering its concluding phase. Rather than announcing another open-ended continuation, the production team has explicitly labeled the fourth installment as the Final Season, suggesting that the remaining material will bring the animated adaptation to its ultimate destination.

Behind the production, Doga Kobo is once again handling the animation. Daisuke Hiramaki remains involved as director, while Jin Tanaka oversees series composition and Kanna Hirayama works on character designs. Takuro Iga continues to provide the music, maintaining creative continuity with the previous seasons.

The main cast is also returning for the concluding chapter. This includes Takeo Otsuka as Aqua Hoshino, Yurie Igoma as Ruby, Megumi Han as Kana Arima, Manaka Iwami as Akane Kurokawa and Rumi Okubo as MEM-cho. Their continued involvement should help preserve the performances that have defined the anime since its debut.

One major attraction of the final season will be seeing how the anime handles the unresolved questions surrounding Aqua and Ruby. Their individual ambitions have continued to evolve, while their connection to Ai and the darker side of the entertainment industry remains central to the larger narrative.

International viewers will also be able to follow the conclusion through Crunchyroll, which has confirmed that Season 4 will stream on the platform when it eventually premieres. However, fans will need to wait for an official release schedule before knowing exactly when the final episodes will arrive.

With three seasons already completed, the fourth installment represents a significant milestone for Oshi no Ko. The series began its anime run in 2023 and has since developed into one of the most recognizable modern productions about the entertainment industry. Now, its final season has the difficult task of bringing Aqua, Ruby and the rest of the cast toward the conclusion of their journey.

What Is Anime?

Anime is a term commonly used for Japanese animated productions. It encompasses a wide variety of genres, including action, romance, comedy, fantasy, science fiction, mystery and psychological drama. Anime can be created for children, teenagers or adult audiences, depending on the themes and storytelling approach.

Unlike the idea that animation is exclusively intended for entertainment aimed at children, many anime productions explore mature subjects such as grief, ambition, violence, social pressure and identity. Their stories can also develop across multiple seasons, allowing characters and fictional worlds to evolve over a long period.

Oshi no Ko is one example of an anime that combines entertainment-industry drama with mystery and psychological elements. The story began with a surprising reincarnation premise before expanding into an examination of fame, idol culture and the hidden realities behind the public image of celebrities. With Season 4 officially designated as the Final Season, the anime is now preparing to conclude that journey.
