Solo Leveling Releases Official 2026 Trailer: Is Sung Ji Woo's Adventure About to Begin?

RAVE COMIC - Solo Leveling has just released the coolest official trailer of the year—literally. On August 10, 2026, a new trailer was released for the ongoing live-action show Solo Leveling on ICE.

Staged from August 7–17 in South Korea, Solo Leveling on ICE transforms Sung Jinwoo's story into a musical production that blends the intense action of the popular anime with the elegance of figure skating.

The new trailer offers a stunning look at the show's ice-skating choreography and practical effects, not to mention unique character costumes that combine the iconic essence of Jinwoo's allies with added touches perfectly suited for the ice rink.

Solo Leveling on ICE Releases Epic New Trailer to Celebrate the Series' Major Debut

This new production marks the second run of Solo Leveling on ICE, following the initial show held late last year.

Building on that success, the show returns with an entirely new cast; world figure skating silver medalist Cha Junhwan takes over the role of Jinwoo, succeeding K-pop idols Kim Jinhwan and Hoya, who shared the role in the original production.

Joining Junhwan in the cast are Kim Yerim as Cha Haein, Lee Sihyung as Igris, Kim Chaeyeon as Sung Jinah, and Choi Woohyuk as Yoo Jinho. As shown in the trailer, Solo Leveling on ICE employs dramatic visual effects to bring to life Jinwoo's most iconic battle scenes from the anime and manhwa.

The trailer features a giant animatronic Cerberus recreating Jinwoo's first major battle before entering the Demon Castle, a real-flame torch dance mimicking Cho Jongin's fire magic, and even Cha Haein suspended from the ceiling on ribbons to truly embody her nickname, "The Dancer."

Early reviews of the new series report that Junhwan delivers an outstanding performance, undoubtedly fueled by the connection he feels with the character Jinwoo. "He is very much like me," Junhwan told the Seoul Economic Daily, "constantly facing challenges and growing, so I feel an increasing bond with him."

Cha Junhwan also reportedly took an active role in production, personally assisting with the ice skating choreography.

While Solo Leveling on ICE might not be for everyone, it ultimately serves as another medium that expands the franchise's cultural reach, introducing the story of Sung Jinwoo to people who might not otherwise be interested in anime.

Solo Leveling Regains Momentum One Year After an Incredible Second Season

The Solo Leveling anime is also set to return next year with the film Solo Leveling: Beyond the System, and the English translation of the light novel Solo Leveling: Ragnarok recently resumed following a hiatus.

Right now, the gears of the Solo Leveling franchise are turning at an unprecedented pace, and this may well be just the beginning.
