One Piece Is Set To Welcome The Rain God And Forest God After Elbaf Arc Ends

RAVE OTONITY – The divine beings now play a prominent role in the main storyline of *One Piece*, particularly in the ongoing “Elbaf” arc. Currently, *One Piece* fans are excitedly awaiting the release of Chapter 1191, scheduled for August 23, 2026, in Issue 39 of Shueisha’s *Weekly Shonen Jump*. In this chapter, two of the most powerful gods will face off against each other.
As the “Elbaf” arc continues, the divine universe has grown considerably, and most importantly, Eiichiro Oda has also introduced new gods who will be revealed at the end of this arc.
As *One Piece* plunges further into its final saga, these powerful gods are poised to make their presence felt and dominate the coming Great War, which is expected to envelop the entire world for the third time.
In Chapter 1044 of *One Piece*, officially published on March 28, 2022, in Issue 17 of Shueisha’s *Weekly Shonen Jump*, Eiichiro Oda presented us with the Sun God, Nika.
Ever since Luffy awakened the power of the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika, this Mythical Zoan Devil Fruit has granted him the ability to transform into the Sun God from the myths of Elbaf. At present, Luffy has fully mastered Nika’s power, and thanks to it, he has even managed to defeat opponents of Kaido’s caliber, while effortlessly dominating foes like Kizaru without even having to go all out.
Luffy has even managed to face off against Nerona Imu using his Sun God powers, which shows just how truly exceptional he is.
There are also other gods in the One Piece universe besides Luffy. For example, the Elbaf arc introduced us to the demon god Nerona Imu, who wields the power of the Akuma no Mi, in One Piece Chapter 1179, published on April 5, 2026.
Similarly, Loki, the new god of war from Elbaf who wields the power of the Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Nidhoggr, was revealed in One Piece Chapter 1175. These aren’t the only gods that the final arc of One Piece will unveil.
In the “Harley” segment featured in One Piece Chapter 1138, Eiichiro Oda officially introduced several major gods who will appear in the story sooner or later.
Among them, the two most important ones we’re eagerly awaiting are the God of the Forest and the God of Rain. The Forest God and the Rain God were both first mentioned in One Piece Chapter 287, published 23 years ago on August 11, 2003, in the double issue No. 37–38 of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump.
This chapter showcased the Noland flashback and officially introduced us to the main gods of the One Piece world, including Sun God Nika.
The Forest God and Rain God were also officially mentioned here, and that sets up the introduction of these powerful Gods following the conclusion of the Elbaf events.
