The Blood of Dawnwalker Unique Side
Your main character, Coen, is a unique creature called a Dawnwalker. During the day, he’s essentially still human. But when night falls, he turns into a vampire.
This change is not merely cosmetic.
At night, Coen can wield various vampire powers, including biting and sucking the blood of his enemies to heal himself. But being a vampire also has its consequences: Coen must regularly satisfy his thirst for blood.
Even when talking to NPCs at night, additional options sometimes appear that allow Coen to give in to his bloodlust and prey on them.
During the day, the situation is different.
Coen is more vulnerable and must rely more on his sword, combat skills, and various human abilities to survive. He does possess Witchcraft, which allows him to use powerful magic to face his enemies. However, this ability itself highlights his vulnerability as a human, since using Witchcraft can cost him some HP.
Fortunately, some skills can mitigate that impact or provide additional benefits.
Interestingly, Day Coen and Night Coen can even use different equipment. So the difference between these two forms feels like a fundamental part of the gameplay, not just a change in abilities.
Coen really feels like a character caught between two worlds.
A "Free" Fighting Style
As a player, you have quite a bit of freedom in deciding how Coen fights.
There are Omniattacks and Omniblocks, where you simply press the attack or defense button without having to manually specify a direction. However, the game also features a system of Directional Attacks and Directional Blocks.
You can choose the direction of your attack yourself. That way, your attacks are more difficult for your opponent to anticipate. The same goes for defense: if you can block an attack from the right direction, you’ll have the opportunity to launch a more effective counterattack.
So as Coen gets stronger, you experience two kinds of progression at the same time: not only does his character actually get stronger, but you, as the player, also gain a better understanding of how to use those abilities.
That’s all the information on the review of The Blood of Dawnwalker, a game that’s currently the talk of the town. Keep following us for the latest news from the gaming world!
