Each battlefield features unique rules and mechanics, so success depends on more than just using your strongest characters.

For instance, Stellar reaction teams excel against the Chimeric Winged Lion, while the Veteran Wind Operative's "Bond of Life" mechanic makes specific characters highly effective. Meanwhile, Knuckle Duckle remains one of the toughest bosses to defeat due to its powerful shield and the Stamping Devices it summons.
Here are five top-tier teams to consider for the current Stygian Onslaught rotation in Genshin Impact, especially if you are playing on the higher Fearless and Dire difficulty levels.
1. Sandrone, Odette, Yae Miko, Qiqi
Best for: Chimeric Winged Lion
Sandrone's premium team is arguably the strongest choice against the Chimeric Winged Lion in this Stygian Onslaught cycle. The boss begins the fight by generating a powerful Electro shield, and Stellar-Conduct reactions are highly effective at breaking through it.
Odette provides the necessary support for the reaction, while Yae Miko ensures consistent Electro application. Sandrone can then capitalize on the opening created once the shield drops.
The top priority is breaking the shield. Once shattered, the Lion becomes temporarily vulnerable and suffers reduced Cryo and Anemo resistance. This gives Sandrone an excellent opportunity to unleash her most powerful attacks before the boss resumes its mechanics.
Players with a C6 Alyosha might also consider swapping Qiqi out for an additional offensive support character.
2. Cryo Traveler, Odette, Yae Miko, Alyosha
Best for: Chimeric Winged Lion
If you want to exploit the Lion's weakness to Stellar-Conduct but don't own Sandrone, the Cryo Traveler team serves as an excellent alternative—especially given their current standing in the Genshin Impact 7.0 meta.

The Cryo Traveler serves as the primary damage dealer, while Odette and Yae Miko maintain the elemental application needed to repeatedly trigger Stellar-Conduct. Alyosha adds further offensive utility to the team lineup.
The key to this team's success remains the same: focus on stripping the Electro shield as quickly as possible. Once the boss becomes vulnerable, switch to your normal attack rotation and capitalize on its lowered resistances. This is also a useful option for players who wish to save Sandrone for another part of their lineup.
3. Arlecchino, Fischl, Chevreuse, Nicole
Suitable for: Experienced Turbine Operative
The Wind Operative Veteran is a perfect match for Arlecchino due to her Bond of Life mechanic. During its shield phase, the boss inflicts a significant Bond of Life on all party members, and Arlecchino can turn this mechanic to her advantage.
An Overload setup featuring Fischl and Chevreuse provides strong off-field damage and consistent reactions, while Nicole offers additional utility.

The Operative's shield is the primary hurdle. Damage dealt while the shield is active is effectively stored and returned to the boss when the shield breaks, allowing a fast-paced team to unleash a massive burst of damage. However, beware of the boss's special attacks; getting hit can allow it to recover HP and inflict damaging debuffs.
4. Arlecchino, Xilonen, Citlali, Bennett
Suitable for: Experienced Turbine Operative
This second Arlecchino team is worth considering if you lack the characters required for the Overload composition. This Melt team provides powerful buffs and high survivability while allowing Arlecchino to remain the team's primary damage dealer.
Citlali is particularly useful, as her shield can protect your characters from the Operative's dangerous attacks. Her abilities are best utilized around the shield-breaking phase, allowing Arlecchino to maximize her offensive opportunities afterward.
The Veteran Wind Operative has a lower difficulty level compared to the other two bosses, so a well-built Arlecchino team should have no trouble defeating it at an appropriate investment level.
5. Flins, Ineffa, Columbina, Sucrose
Suitable for: Knuckle Duckle
The returning Knuckle Duckle is arguably the most challenging boss in the current Stygian Onslaught cycle. The fight begins with the boss shielded and summoning several Suppression Devices that must be dealt with before it becomes truly vulnerable.
This is where the Flins and Lunar-Charged team shines. Flins, Ineffa, and Columbina provide an ideal core for quickly eliminating the summoned devices using their preferred reactions.

Once the devices are destroyed, Knuckle Duckle ...loses its protection, its durability drops, and it becomes vulnerable to your attacks. Sucrose provides the team with additional utility and reaction support.
Ineffa is invaluable because the boss deals significant Electro damage; she offers survivability alongside the team's offensive power.
Players without Flins can use other Lunar-Charged compositions, though the performance gap can be significant at Fearless and Dire difficulty levels. Highly invested alternatives—such as Nefer, Zibai, Mavuika, or Arlecchino—can still work, provided they deal enough damage to destroy the Stamping Devices and defeat the boss within the time limit.
