Asta's Anti-Magic gave the heroes their most effective weapon; however, that power alone was not enough. The Black Bulls and other Magic Knights protected Asta time and again, created openings, and kept him alive long enough to continue the fight.
Asta and Liebe finally achieved a deeper level of synchronization, which allowed them to completely neutralize the magic through physical contact. However, their Demon Union had a strict time limit, so teamwork proved essential for the final showdown.
Ultimately, Yami, Nacht, and Yuno provided crucial assistance that allowed Asta to land the decisive blow.
How Asta and His Allies Finally Defeated Lucifer
At first, the battle seemed lost, since Lucifer was far more powerful than almost everyone present. Asta discovered that his Anti-Magic could actually harm the demon, which led the captains of the Magic Knights to protect him while he recovered and prepared for another attack.
Mereoleona, Nozel, Fuegoleon, Dorothy, Charlotte, Jack, and Rill helped keep Lucifer busy, but their combined attacks failed to defeat him.

Asta and Liebe took their Demonic Union one step further by synchronizing their minds and wills. Their connection allowed their Anti-Magic to completely nullify magical effects upon contact, greatly reducing the effectiveness of Lucifer’s normally devastating attacks.
Asta then used the Demon-Slaying Katana and other weapons to attack Lucifer, seriously wounding the demon before their Union reached its time limit. However, Lucifer survived and attempted to destroy Asta and Liebe using immense Gravity Magic.
Yami and Nacht got back on their feet despite their injuries; Nacht's "Black Moon" helped neutralize Lucifer's gravity, giving Asta another chance to get back up. This moment proved that the victory belonged to the entire group, not just Asta.
Yami and Nacht's intervention allowed Asta to prepare a final blow, while Yuno used Star Magic to prevent Lucifer from escaping.

Yuno teleported Lucifer back to Asta, who then swung the Demon-Slaying Sword and shattered the demon’s remaining horn, knocking him unconscious. Thus, Lucifer’s defeat was the result of Asta’s anti-magic combined with the sacrifices, protection, and abilities of his allies.
